이미지를 재창조하는 과정에서 나는 의도적으로 자연물의 사실적 표현보다는 왜곡된 이미지로 작업한다. 자연물의 재현보다는 기억된 이미지를 극대화 하고 싶다. 기억된 이미지에 보태지는 인공물의 형상들은 공존의 아름다움을 표현하기 위한 유닛들이다. 인공물과 자연물의 공존은 단순히 이중적 개념의 조합으로 귀결될지 모르지만 나는 그 유닛들의 아름다운 조합을 생각한다. 자연물과 인공물의 이상적공존, 그것은 인간이 자연에 유일하게 개입할 수 있는 부분이고 인간이 지켜야 할 일이라고 생각한다. 따라서 나는 이를 어떻게 감성적으로 아름답게 실내로 들여와 사람들과 공감할 수 있을지에 대해 생각한다, 나의 작업이 생활 속에서 새로운 공간창조의 역할을 하게 되길 기대하고 인공림이라는 결과물이 수용자로 하여금 그들이 기억하는 이미지에 주관적 개념이 더해져 소통되기를 바래본다.
