Ahmed Mannan 아흐메드 마난

파키스탄인 아버지와 일본인 어머니 사이에서 태어난 아흐메드 마난은, 자신의 이슬람 종교적 정체성과 일본의 사회적 관계 속에서 발생하는 커뮤니케이션의 불균형에 대한 탐구를 이어오고 있다.

종교의 교리와 연결된 행위들이 어떻게 개인과 집단간의 불일치를 초래하며, 이로 인해 개인적 삶의 방식을 유지하는데 어떤 어려움을 겪는지에 대한 문제를 작가는 독특한 감각과 강렬한 색채, 섬세한 위트로 제시한다.

Ahmed Manan, born to a Pakistani father and a Japanese mother, has been exploring his Islamic religious identity and the imbalance in communication that arises within within social relationships in Japan.  

The artist addresses how acts connected to religious doctrines can lead to discrepancies between individuals and groups, and the difficulties this presents in maintaining a personal way of life. He presents these issues with unique sensibility, vibrant colors, and subtle wit.​
